11 Days Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek is a wonderful trekking route situated inside the Annapurna region. In comparison to Annapurna Base Camp trekking, Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek is less crowded and less busy. Likewise it also has less availability of luxury of lodges compared with much popular Annapurna Base Camp trek. However, Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek has its serene and tranquil path to follow to see the scintillating snowy mountainous views. Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek offers the panoramic view of mountains such as Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Machhapuchchhre, and Hiuchuli. In addition to its unalienable scenic beauty of mountains, Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek trails through the villages with terraced fields, green forest with wildlife, rocky hills and steep stony paths.

Following the common trek route up to Tadapani, Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek hikes the separate trekking route from Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The trek up to Tadapani engages the trekkers in the terraced fields, rhododendron forests and Gurung villages. As the trek takes different routes from Tadapani, the overnight stay will be held at community lodges.

The more we get closer to the snowy peaks and high hills of this sacred land Nepal, the more we get the retrospective feeling of the existence of human being is just like a pendulum in between the peaks of the Himalayas and depth of the rivers. We feel just a tiny existence of this huge phenomenon of the universe and its existence. How grandeur phenomena this has been that human beings have been offered with such grand beauty of the nature. Yoga is holistic spirituality. It tends to include every aspect of life. In this case, trekking also can’t be taken apart from yoga. Especially the practice of asana, pranayama and dhyan can be practiced in regular basis throughout the trekking. In holistic aspect, yoga can be adopted each and every time regardless of the situation.  Yoga is the peaceful state of mind. The idea of asana practice mainly focuses to help one maintain the physical wellness to start life-long journey of self-realization. After the physical posture practices one gets refreshed and vitalized with thrilling vibes which welcomes the stunning amazement that nature has offered to this Himalayan nation Nepal. The day will be fully enjoyed in trekking while experiencing various atmosphere of the region. In the evening, the day will be rested and relaxed not only physically but also mentally by the practice of pranayama and meditation. The same schedule will be continued almost every day during the trek.

Day 01 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Kathmandu to Pokhara – 6/7 hours of drive

The journey gets started from Kathmandu where you will get on the bus for Pokhara. Travelling along the edge of Trishuli River, the journey gives you the view of stunning green hills and villages perched on the slope of the hill. The lunch will be taken resting somewhere on the way. About 6/7 hours of travelling, you will reach to the city of lakes called Pokhara.

Day 02 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Pokhara to Ghandruk (2000 hours) via Kimche – 2 hours of drive and 2 hours of trek

Getting up early in the morning, the day will be made beautiful with sacred and simple practice of yoga asana. After yoga asana class, you will have breakfast. Driving up to Kimche for two hours, the real starts uphill towards Ghandruk. The day will not demand much effort for long day trek as it’s the first day of hiking. You will continue the ascending trail through the terraced field, green hills and jungle to reach an incredibly set up village of Gurung community called Ghandruk. The trail route welcomes you with fabulous views of Annapurna South, Mount Hiunchuli, and Mount Machhapuchchhre. The day will be rested practicing pranayama and meditation.  Overnight stay will be at a teahouse.

Day 03 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Ghandruk to Tadapani   2500 meter and 4 hours of trek

Getting up early in the morning, the day brings you lot of positivity and power for the practice of yoga asana in the greenery and freshening environment of this serene and soulful Ghandruk village. After yoga asana practice, the breakfast will be taken. This day leads you to the magnificent milieu of nature through the rhododendron forests while ascending uphill after you come across Deorali village on your trekking route. A small pass further takes you to the area of Tadapani. At the destination point, you will practice pranayama and meditation to relax your body, calm your mind, and rejuvenates your soul. Overnight stay will be at a teahouse.

Day 04 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Tadapani to Bayeli Kharka   – 2900 meter and 6 hours of trek

With lot of excitement and enthusiasm to see the charismatic creation of the nature, the day will be begun with the practice which tries to immerse in one’s own charismatic world. Moreover, Yoga asana will help to prepare yourself for the upcoming trail. You will trek through the remote trail leaving the main trail behind to experience the unbelievable atmosphere coming uphill in the trek. The trek will trail you through the uneven and rugged path but beautiful and challenging path through the green pastures, rhododendron and oak trees. It’s traditional path of local villagers who take their sheep, goats, and buffaloes to the green pastures. Eventually Bayeli Kharka appears in front of your eyes as soon as you cross the jungle, where is located a lodge in its ultimate paradise. The place allows to enjoy the view of the seventh tallest mountain of the world, Dhaulagiri (8, 167meter). The day ends with pranayama and meditation practices to deepen your thoughts and travel into our own world of self-awareness. Overnight stay will be at teahouse.

Day 05 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Bayeli Kharka to Upper Chistibung – 2975 meter and 4 hours of trek

On the lush grass of this awesome place, the yoga asana will be practice in open environment with free mind and open heart to make our body flexible and healthy to cope with upcoming trail. While ascending up through the trail, the trek leads you through the pastures with cattle grazing it. The huts of the herders set up in the sight gives such a pastoral view which actually a difficult life to experience but gives an amazing pleasure to the eyes of beholders who see the breath-taking view of arena. You will also happen to see the national bird of Nepal called Danfe (Lophophorus) as well as Himalayan goats. The day offers you lot of beauties and gets ready for another meditative experience through pranayama and meditation after you arrive at the destination for today. After Overnight stay will be at teahouse.

Day 06 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Upper Chistibung to Copra Ridge 3660 meter and 3 hours of trek

This area would actually become the catalyst to practice yoga asana as the atmosphere is absolutely charming and cheerful. Yoga asana will be thoroughly enjoyed in this cold but captivating place of this Himalayan country Nepal.  This day also trails you through the green pastures and meadows while viewing the fantastic phenomena of the nature bestowed in this Himalayan land. Your trekking will be rewarded with the mind-blowing view of Annapurna South very close from you. At the arrival to Copra community lodge, the full-fledge view of snow-covered peaks such Annapurna South, Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Fang etc. The heart-throbbing depth of Kali Gandaki River overlooked from the Copra Ridge would be the moment to introspect our own existence. You will magnify your sense of joy and happiness by the yogic practice of pranayama and meditation. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 07 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Kopra Ridge – Exploration and Meditation Day

After early morning practice of yoga asana, the day will be completely invested for exploration and practice of meditation in the remaining time. You will have different options. You can either walk towards Kaire Lake or make some relatively shorter program as the trek to Kaire Lake demands about 11 hours of trek in total. Nevertheless, the view of Fang Mountain and its surrounding would be a splendid experience. Overnight stay at a teahouse.

Day 08 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Kopra Ridge to Swanta Village -2200 meter and 5 hours of trek

The day will be energized with energetic yoga asana practice. The trail takes you through the descending trail towards Upper Chistibung. The trail even takes you down towards beautiful Swanta village. Viewing the mesmerizing panorama of terraced fields, ethnic and culturally enriched villages, the trek will follow down until you arrive Swanta Village. In the evening, yoga pranayama and meditation will be practiced.  Overnight stay will be at a teahouse.

Day 09 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Swanta Village to Ulleri 2050 meter and 6 hours of trek

Yoga asana starts the day. Having breakfast, you will begin the trek which will bring you to busier trek after about one hour of trek from Swanta Village which leads to the trail of Ulleri. The day will be relaxed with the practice of pranayama and meditation. Overnight stay will be at teahouse.

Day 10 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

Ulleri to Pokhara  5 hours of trek and 1.5 hours of drive

Get ready for last but not the least session of yoga asana practice. The final day of the trek takes you for few hours of walk. Walking down on the stone stairs, you will keep to the point from where the even path takes you to Nayapul. Getting on the vehicle from Nayapul, you will be taken to Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 11 of Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

We will say good bye to each other and our management group will wish you very safe journey to your country from Nepal. You will bring a lot of happy memories from Nepal to your country.
