Dhampus yoga trekking is one of the short and sweet yoga treks of Nepal. The most important features of Dhampus Yoga Trek are the spectacular views of two giant mountains Annapurna and Machhapuchhre, countryside experience including sunrise and sunset views along with daily yoga, Pranayam and meditation. Yoga can be a great achievement during our trekking. We can learn the way of walking with the yogic mood. We will be with an experienced yoga teacher on our trekking.

Yoga is the way of knowing the self and connecting the self with the higher self of the universe. This is part of our spiritual journey. It leads us towards the peace and harmony of the mind. Yoga can be the life-changing weapon of our life because it provides us with satisfaction with our life and the feeling of security.

Dhampus is a village which is situated in Kaski district where Gurung and Magar communities are lived. Dhampus is specially known as the gateway of the Annapurna conservation Region and Annapurna Base camp yoga trek because it is the important trail of Annapurna Base Came yoga Trek. Dhampus trek provides us to observe the environmental beauty of the region. We will see the different kinds of flora and fauna in the forest on the way.

 

Dhampus yoga trek is also significant in the cultural aspect. We will stay at the home of the people so that we can understand the day to day lifestyle of the people of the countryside. We will have the opportunity to take part in the daily activities done by the family. We can closely see the virgin lifestyle of the village which is traditionally guided.

 

From Dhampus, we can enjoy the beauty of the mountains as well as the panorama of the landscapes. The forest of rhododendron is also the attraction of this trek. If it is the flowering season of rhododendron, we can see the red jungles on our way. We will get the peace on our mind and beauty on our eyes during Dhampus yoga trek.

 

Dhampus yoga trekking allows us to see the sunrise on the mountains in the morning as well as the beautiful sight of sunset in the evening. We will explore Pokhara city too when we will return back from Dhampus. We will visit Sarangkot, from where we can observe the beautiful sunrise on higher mountains like Annapurna, Fish Tail etc. This short yoga trek will be the complete refreshment package for everyone who wants to enjoy his or her life wholeheartedly.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m)

This is the first day of your 8 days Dhampus yoga trek. When you arrive in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will come to our office in Goldhunga. After checking in, we take a rest at the hotel in Kathmandu. We may also go to the city to visit and shop the presents to our family and relatives. We will take our dinner with all friends and spend our overnight in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation day

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

 

After our yoga and breakfast, we will start a guided tour to many historical and spiritual places in Kathmandu. Our tour includes the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath (Buddhist shrine), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. All the places are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There will be a brief discussion about our whole yoga trekking in a group in the afternoon. Our overnight will be in the hotel in Kathmandu.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

 

On this third day of our Dhampus yoga trek, we will drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. We can enjoy the beauty of the outside of our bus. We can observe the jungles, villages and rivers on the way. We also see the views of mountains from the window of the bus. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach to Pokhara. We will have our lunch on the way and enjoy the journey with beautiful panorama. When we reach to Pokhara, we will be transferred to the hotel. We will enjoy our time in the hotel by resting and talking. Our overnight will be in Pokhara at the hotel.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi then trek to Dhampus (1,700m)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

 

On our fourth day of Dhampus yoga trek, we will start our first trekking. After our yoga and breakfast, we will drive to Dhampus Phedi. It takes about 1 hour to reach to Phedi from pokhara by driving. When we will reach to Phedi, we will start to walk to Dhampus from Phedi. By observing the beauty of the place, we will reach to Dhampus. Dhampus is a village where mostly Gurung people live. This village is very beautiful and we can enjoy the views of many mountains and countryside from there. It only takes about 3 hours to reach to Dhampus from phedi by walking. Our overnight will be in Dhampus.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 05:Trek from Dhampus to Sarangkot (1,592m)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

 

On this fifth day of our Dhampus yoga trek, we will walk from Dhampus to Sarangkot. We will see the sunrise views from Dhampus in the mountains like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre etc. For this reason, we will walk early in the morning to the spot from where we can see the beautiful sunrise. After doing yoga and having breakfast, we will start to walk to Sarangkot. When we will reach to Naudada with observing the beauty of nature and we will stop for lunch there. After having lunch, we will start to walk again. Our overnight will be in Sarangkot.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 06: Trek down from Sarangkot to Pokhara

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this sixth day of our Dhampus yoga trekking, we will start to Pokhara from Sarangkot. Getting up early in the morning, we will be ready to view the sunrise in the mountains. There is the viewpoint and we will walk to viewpoint with our fellow trekkers. We can see many people who are waiting for the sunrise. We can see the sunrise in the mountains. After viewing the sunrise, we will be back to the lodge and do our yoga and have our breakfast. After our breakfast, we will start to walk down towards Pokhara. We will see many places in Pokhara city, while we walk. We will explore the Pokhara city in a taxi. Our overnight will be in Pokhara.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 07: Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

 

This seventh day of our Dhampus yoga trek will be the day of driving back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. It takes about 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu. We will enjoy the beauty of the landscapes, villages and forests on the way. We can see the flowing river below our highway. After reaching to Kathmandu, we will rest little more and attend the farewell party organized by the manager. Our overnight will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

 

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 08: Departure Day

This is your last day of the Dhampus yoga trekking. On this day, you will leave Nepal from the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). Our management team will say goodbye and wish your wonderful journey to your country. You will take many unforgettable memories from the country of a mountain, Nepal.

Day 09: Trek from Tsarang to Lo-Manthang (3,730m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

Our today’s trek goes to Lo-Manthang from Tsarang. We will go towards the Lo La Pass. We can see the Lo-Manthang village from the top of the pass. We descend to the Lo-Manthang village. The village is itself very beautiful and we can see the beautiful views of the mountains Nilgiri, and Annapurna I, Bhrikuti Peak. We can see Tilicho Lake and Damodar Kunda (pond) from the village, which adds the beauty of the village. Our overnight will be in Lo-Manthang.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

  • QThe meals of your personal interest will not be offered in our expense.
  • QWe would also not provide personal sleeping bags and bags.
  • QThe charge applied in case of emergency evacuation by any means of transport would not be included.
  • QThe charge for accommodation in Kathamndu in you early arrival before the trip will not be included and also the late departure. Moreover, the early departure from trek will also not included in our expense.
  • QWe also don’t include the cost of international flights.
  • QThe trip doesn’t offer the travel and rescue insurance.
  • QWe also don’t include the phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra poter etc.
  • QWe also don’t offer tips for guides and porters, you can give them yourself if you like to give.
