Geology is the branch of science that deals with the study of physical structure of earth and environment. From studying the surface to the study of the deepest region and the center of the earth all comes under the belt of geology. One can say geology is the study of effect of the time and pressure to the rocks, soil, and structures. Everything we see on our surrounding that belong to the physical structure of earth comes under the wing of geology.
Geology studies from the tiny grain of the sand to the mountain sized rocks, from top of the highest peaks to the lowest elevations from fiery volcano to coldest of the place’s geology studies them all. The earth is a giant mass of compiled rocks, soil, water, and minerals. These structures varied with time due to the difference in position, exposure to the surface, pressure, and temperature which in time gave birth to the varied structured planet that we have today. Geology studies all of these and further predict the changes that may occur on those structure as the time passes by.
Geology may be known to many, but many do not know what Geological tour is. Geological tour is the geology combined with tourism in plain and simple terms. People mostly do not know what geological tour is. However, due to the trend it is becoming soon many will know and understand what it is and why it is becoming the trend it is today.

Nepal already had immense possibilities with tourism due to its resources. However, geological tour will be another step for the country beyond tourism. Whay makes Nepal best for the geological tour is its structure and position in the world.
The country is situated between the giants India and China with no direct asceses to the sea. The country despite being in the middle of land masses with no sea has abundant water resources and natural water supply. The country northern region with the boarder with China possess a fair share of the Himalayan range and due to this the country has the largest number of highest peaks in the world. Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world and it is the crown of Nepal and its beauty.
Another amazing thing because Nepal can be a hotspot for geological tour is the Kali Gandaki George. Kali Gandaki George is the deepest George in the entire world. The amazing thing about the George is that, from the lowest George the elevation of the highest mountain in the world such as Dhaulagiri and Annapurna begin. This can be a milestone for the geological tour in Nepal.
These are just sone of the highlights of What Nepal has and What the country can be in the aspects of geological tour and tourism. The country with ridiculously small area compared to other big nations, have all these wonders inside it. The northern region holds the highest elevations in the world where as the Sothern regions are the planes of the terai where the elevations are very minimum from the sea levels. All the difference in elevation and altitude with the average distance of 193km, as it is the average width of the country.
The possibility in the country is immense as it has all the right elements that is needed to walk forward in the path of geological tour. With the right leadership and to the point planning in the near future, it will move also to the path.
