Helambu Yoga Trekking offers you the opportunity to see the beautiful places, mountains, forests and landscapes along with doing yoga, Pranayam and meditation. We can get the chance to have a different experience of trekking with regular yoga classes. In this era, yoga has become an essential part of our life. It is the way of knowing the self and existence. All the people search themselves by doing different activities. Trekking is also a way of searching for happiness in life. Trekking gives us some satisfaction in our life. If we mix Yoga with trekking, our quest can be satisfied more than any other way of enjoyment. Yoga is the way of getting complete satisfaction in our life. Meditation helps us to redeem our pain that we get by the trekking. Pranayam helps us to get more oxygen in our lungs and helps us to maintain a high altitude.

The attractions of Helambu Yoga trekking are panoramic mountain views, beautiful Himalayan scenery, rocks with snowcapped peaks, meadows and grassy lands. Another part of the interesting things we can see is wild animals and daisy flowers. On the way, we can enjoy the views of snow bridge, spinning angry torrents, small lakes with iceberg’s floating on them and crystalline brightness.

Helambu is situated in the western part of Sindhupalchok district, 80 km far to the east from Kathmandu (Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal). This highland village is the home of the Hyolmo people, an ethnic community of Nepal. The word Helambu is derived from the word Hyolmo. The place where Hyolmo people live is Helambu. Hyolmo people are Buddhist so; this place is very famous for Buddhist monasteries also. In Helambu, we can see the trees of apple. In the season of apple ripe, we will see the pieces of red apples on the trees.

Helambu yoga trekking is a kind of easy trek and the distance is short in length but this yoga trekking covers many areas up to the height of about 3650m. Helambu yoga trek starts from Sundarijal, where we can reach within 1-hour drive from Kathmandu. It has been a very famous trekking area for many years.

We can experience the beautiful natural sights of rhododendron and bamboo forests. Waterfalls and snow-capped mountains are the gifts of nature which are the most attractive part of our yoga trekking. Views of the Monasteries of Tibet border from Nepal cannot be explained in words, we have to go to take the firsthand experience to feel full of rejoicing.

Helambu yoga trekking is very calm trekking comparing to other yoga trekkings. It is simple and we can easily and happily complete our yoga trekking. It is a very safe yoga trekking. The best seasons of this yoga trekking are autumn and spring. Winter is also the best season to trek in Helambu.

The culture we will experience will be very different mixing of Tibetan and Nepali. The people of Helambu almost look like Tibetan because they are of Tibetan origin. They settled here in Nepal in the past and became Nepali citizen.

During our yoga trekking, we will meet with Tamang and Sherpa ethnic groups at highland. They have different types of culture and costume than we can see in Kathmandu.
