Yoga is the way of living a beautiful life and it can be part of each and every aspects of our life. Trekking is an aspect of our life and if we mix yoga with it, it becomes more powerful. We can perform our walking with awareness. Awareness in every task adds the yogic value.

Manaslu Circuit yoga trek allows you to view the green forest areas, protected wildlife area, rhododendrons and other wildflowers, raging rivers, precarious bridges, stunning mountains scenery as well as Hindu and Buddhist culture. Manaslu is the 8th highest peak in the world at the height of 8,156 m. This is a famous trekking area for many foreign tourists. About half of the trekkers in the year come in the month of October because of the best weather.

Manaslu is undoubtedly the spectacular, and beautiful among other mountains. This Manaslu circuit yoga trekking will be an unforgettable moment of our life because we can observe the most beautiful scene of the world with hundreds of mountains, grasslands and jungles. We can see white snow-covered mountains on the way. We can enjoy the peace and calmness during this trekking. This yoga trekking is also remarkable in the cultural aspect. In this region, we find the inhabitant of Sherpa and some of the other ethnic communities. We can see their different traditional and ritual functions during our yoga trekking.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

When you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will come to our office. After checking in, we take a rest at the hotel in Kathmandu. We may also go to the city to visit and shop. We will take our dinner with nice foods and spend our overnight in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation day

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

After our yoga and breakfast, we will start a guided tour of many historical and spiritual places in Kathmandu. Our tour includes the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath (Buddhist shrine), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. All the places are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There will be a brief discussion about our whole yoga trekking in a group in the afternoon. Our overnight will be spent in the hotel in Kathmandu.

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (710m/2328 ft 8 – 9 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will drive early for Soti Khola from Kathmandu. On our driving, we will enjoy views of the Nepalese countryside and the mountain sceneries. We will be driving on a paved road from Kathmandu to Dhading Bensi, which is the district headquarter of Dhading at the height of 1050m. Drive from Dhanding Bensi to Arughat will be on a rough road. After reaching Arughat, we will drive towards Soti Khola again. We will stay our overnight in Soti Khola.

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m/2952 ft, 6-7 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will be trekking towards Machha Khola from Soti Khola. After crossing the bridge, we will trek through the beautiful Sal forest. We will climb to the top of above Budhi Gandaki. We will reach Khursane, where we can experience the rocky trail. This way has ups and downs. There, we will pass two tropical waterfalls on a hill. At last, we will pass a few rice terraces and reach up to around the Gurung village, Labubesi. We again climb to a rocky outcrop. We can reach to the valley which is bent by Budhi Gandaki River. We will walk through the sandy path and then continue along with rounded stones. We climb over a side ridge. When we cross another suspension bridge, we will reach Machha Khola village. Our overnight will be in Machha Khola.

Day 05: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1410m/ 4625 ft, 6 – 7 hrs)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On the fifth day of our Manaslu circuit yoga trekking, we will leave Machha Khola and start for Jagat. At first, we walk a narrow path, which has minor ups and downs. When we will cross Thado Khola, we will reach Khorlabesi. After passing some ups and downs again, we will come in a small Hotspring in Tatopani. We climb over another top place and cross Budhi Gandaki by a suspension bridge. There is another suspension bridge on our way again. We will climb to the stone stairs which is called Thado Bharyang. When we climb to the way, we will be in the Jagat village, which is our last destination of the day. We will spend our overnight in Jagat.

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,804m/5917 ft, 6 – 7 hrs)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

This day will be the day of leaving Jagat. We will start the day’s walk by climbing over a rocky top place to Salleri. From Salleri we will walk down to Sirdibas. When we continue our walking, we will reach in Philim, which is a large Gurung village. The path turns north from the last house of the village. We will cross millet fields on our way and reach to Ekle Bhatti. The path will be steep. When we will climb up, we will be in the gorge, where we can’t find the human inhabitant. We will descend to the grassy land which has slopes. We will cross the Budhi Gandaki, then trek along the west bank for a while. We will cross again to the east bank and be back again. If we continue our trekking, we will reach to the widening path. We will pass through bamboo forests to the Deng Khola. After crossing the Khola, we reach to the Deng village, which is a very small village where we stay our overnight.

Day 07: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630m/8626ft, 6 – 7 hrs)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

We will start today to Namrung from Deng. When we will cross Budhi Gandaki and climb, we will reach to Rana at the height of 1910m. We will continue our trekking and reach Budhi Gandaki valley. We will pass through forests and place of prayer flags. We turn towards a corner that heads to Ghap. We cross Budi Gandaki again and again on this day. We will cross many gompas on our path. Our path will go through a dense forest. When we cross the river on our way, we will reach to a place from where we can see a narrow gorge. The path will be easier now. When we climb a steep path, we will reach in Namrung village where we spend our overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Namrung to Samagaon (3530m/11,578 ft, 6-7 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On our 8th day of Manaslu Circuit Yoga Trekking, we will start to Samagaun from Namrung. From Namrung village, we can see Siring, Ganesh Himal and Mt. Himal Chuli. We climb up on our way, pass through forests and finally, we will reach to Lihi village. It is a fine village with many chortens and barley terraces. We will pass through Sho, Lho and Shyala villages on the way before reaching Sama Village. From Lho village, we can enjoy extraordinary views of Mt. Manaslu and we can explore the famous Ribung Gompa there. We will be surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) to the left in Shyala village. We also can see the Manaslu and large glaciers straight ahead, and other snow summit to the right. We can see the Ganesh Himal to the far end stands. Today’s journey ends in Samagaon, where we spend our overnight.

We will practice Pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 09: Trek from Samagaon to Pungyen Gompa to Samagaon (6 – 7 hours exploration)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will go to Pungyen Gompa for only to visit and we will be back to Samagaon again. We will observe Sherpa culture from near. We will see the sight of thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts and pictures of prayers. We can enjoy the scene of Sherpa women wearing traditional clothes and ornaments. We will reach to a monastery with great views of the glacier. The monastery is named after Manaslu. Our overnight will be in Samagaon.

Day 10: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3860m/12,660 ft, 4 – 5 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will leave Samagaon and start to Samdo. We will start our trekking by going down towards the Budhi Gandaki River. We will walk to the north and the way follows to a bridge over a side stream. The path to the left side will lead us to the Manaslu Base camp. In the Larkya La Trail, we will pass several Mani walls with prayers. When the valley begins, the path will be widening. We will walk through the birch forests of Kermo Kharka. We will cross the Budhi Gandaki River from a wooden bridge. When we will walk along the path, we will find Samdo. Our peaceful overnight will be in Samdo.

Day 11: Rest Day in Samdo

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

This is our rest day in Samdo village. We will hike to the top and come back to Samdo village again. On this hike, we will go to one of the trade passes to Tibet. From the point, we can enjoy the excellent views of Mt. Manaslu with other Himalayan ranges like Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo. There we can see some species of birds, Lophophorus, which is the national bird of Nepal, Lammergeyer and Himalayan Griffin etc. Our overnight will be in Samdo again today.

We will practice pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. (4460m/14, 628 ft, 4 – 5 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will continue our trekking from Samdo. On the way, we will cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki, after we will climb upwards. We will cross two streams and go towards the way. We can see the Larkya Glacier on the way. We will go through the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up again to the stone guest house at the height of 4450m. This house is not a lodge but a kind of shelter called Dharmshala. This place is also known as Larke Phedi. Our overnight will be in Dharmashala.

Day 13: Trek from Dharamsala via Larkya La (5160m/16, 924 ft) to Bimthang (3720m/12, 201 ft, 8 – 9 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will head towards Bimthang. When we will walk a short distance, we will reach to the valley, which lies in the north side of Larkya Glaciers. From there we can enjoy great views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak with their significant appearance. We will walk crossing the moraines of the glacier. The way is steep towards the upside. We will reach to the pass from where; we can enjoy the outstanding views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II. We will reach to Bimthang and spend our overnight there.

Day 14: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2300m/7544 ft, 5 – 6 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will leave Bimthang and head to Tilije. From the top part of the place on our way, we can enjoy great views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. We will go down from there and cross high grassland, the name of the grassland is Sangure Kharka. We will cross the bridge over Dudh Khola. We will walk through rhododendron forest and follow the path through a narrow valley. The way continues until we reach the highest cultivated land of the valley at Karche at the height of 2785 m. We will pass the fields sometimes and we will make a steep climb over a top. Our overnight will be very calm and serene in Tilije Village.

Day 15: Trek fromTilije to Tal (1700m/5576 ft, 5 – 6 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On the fifteenth day of our yoga trekking, we will start to Tal from Tilije. On the first part of our trekking, we climb over a small ridge and enjoy the stone-paved trail, which passes through a beautiful village. We cross the bridge which is made over Dudh Khola. We will pass the Mani wall and reach to the Thonje village. From the village, we will go through a police check point and continue to Dharapani. We will enter the Annapurna circuit section from Dharapani. When we come down, we will reach Karte village, after walking little bit and crossing a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. Our overnight will be in Tal.

Day 16: Trek from Tal to Syange (1080m/3542 ft, 6 – 7 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

On this day, we will trek following the path to Chyamje village crossing the Marshyangdi Khola. When we will reach to Marsyandi valley, it will open its terrace fields and villages, which remain very high to the hillsides. The way goes through rhododendron and pine forests to Syange where our trekking of the day will be finished. Our overnight will be in Syange.

We will practice pranayam and meditation in the evening.

Day 17: Drive from Syange to Kathmandu (8-9 hours)

We will do yoga before our breakfast in the morning.

This day’s drive will begin from Syange to Kathmandu by Besi Sahar. This journey can give the opportunity to enjoy both hill and mountain landscapes. Most of the drive will be along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. Our drive will be also by some beautiful villages with farming terraces on both sides of the road. When we arrive in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. We may shop in the market in the evening. We will have a farewell dinner in the evening and our overnight will be in the hotel.

Day 18: Final departure

This is your last day of the great adventurous trekking. On this day, you will leave Nepal from the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). Our management team will say you good bye and wish your wonderful journey to your country. You will take many unforgettable memories from Nepal.
