This magical ordeal will take you to different parts of the country where you’ll get an opportunity to observe exotic birds and animals. The first leg of the tour sees you explore the secrets dwelling in the Phulchowki hill and Shivapuri National Park. These areas are not only suitable for bird-watching but for hiking too. Later, we drive to Terai and explore its plains. The Chitwan National Park welcomes us with its warm environment and exotic birds. Finally, we visit the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve which is a haven for bird watchers.

During this birdwatch tour, you will spend your time in hotels and lodges. These hotels are equipped with the finest facilities like a hot shower, a cozy bed, and spacious rooms. In the case of food, you can either eat at the hotel or choose to eat at the restaurants.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal
On the very first day of this birdwatch tour, you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will meet our representative at the airport who will be waiting for you. He will make sure that you reach the hotel safely and on time. At the hotel, meet the company officials, and take part in welcome dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Phulchowki hill birdwatching tour
On the second day, we head to Phulchowki hill. This quaint hill sits about 20 km southeast of Kathmandu and is home to exotic plants and birds. Find yourself exploring this delightful hill and be on the lookout for birds like endemic spring babbler, blue-napped pitta, and the redhead Trojan. Furthermore, make your way to the summit of the hill and observe the delightful view of the Kathmandu valley and surrounding environment. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Shivapuri National Park birdwatching tour
Today, we shall visit the Shivapuri national park. It sits 12 km north of Kathmandu and is the only national park so close to Kathmandu. Despite its proximity to Kathmandu, it houses rare birds and animals. Here, you can find birds like hill partridge, Grey-winged Blackbird, kalij, and the Asian paradise-flycatcher. You can also take part in a short hike to its summit. It is a great addition to the birdwatch tour. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 04: Drive to Chitwan and explore the Chitwan National Park
Wake up early and after packing your necessities, head out to Chitwan. The journey takes about 3 hours and covers approximately 130 km. We finally arrive at Chitwan and once we check in the hotel, we make our way to the Chitwan National Park. We shall take part in boating activities and visit the elephant breeding center. If possible, you can take part in jungle safari too. Overnight in Chitwan.
Day 05: Chitwan birdwatching tour
On our second day in Chitwan, we shall indulge in a birdwatch tour. We shall visit the park early in the morning. The park is home to birds like ferruginous pochard, great hornbill, pallid harrier, and black-necked storks. Likewise, you can witness rare animals like the one-horned rhinoceros and even the Bengal tiger. Spend the evening by taking part in a Tharu cultural program. Overnight in Chitwan.
Day 06: Drive from Chitwan to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Like the previous day, wake up early and head to the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. The drive takes 5-6 hours and at times, it can be boring. However, the winding Nepali roads are bound to make you feel elated. We shall take a few stops in between for refreshments. We finally arrive at Koshi Tappu and check-in at the hotel. It might be a bit late to indulge in birdwatching so we shall rest for the day. Overnight in Koshi.
Day 07: Birdwatching in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve houses more than 400 different species of birds. Grab your binoculars and be on the lookout for birds like black-headed orioles, honey kites, ospreys, and herons. If you are lucky, you can witness various migratory birds as well. After spending the day birdwatching, we head back to the hotel and rejoice on completing this bird watch tour. Overnight in Koshi.
Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu
After interacting with the locals and buying souvenirs, we head back to Kathmandu. The journey sees us go along the B.P. highway and its many twists and turns. Finally, after driving for 5-6 hours, we arrive in Kathmandu. Head directly to your hotel and take a much-needed rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 09: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing
Before we depart the next day, we shall visit the cultural aspects of Kathmandu. We shall visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu like Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. These sites will give us an idea about the amazing culture that Kathmandu valley possesses. At night, take part in a farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu
Today is your final day in Nepal and our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. We hope that you enjoyed your birdwatch tour.

- We provide you the bed and breakfast. Accommodation will be shared by two people. However, you can book for the single room with extra charge.
- The overland transport will be held on tourist coach as per the itinerary and size of the group.
- The applicable fee for the Trekking, National Park and Conservation center will be covered.

- The wages, meals, and transportation of our trekking staff (guide) will be arranged.

What’s Excluded
- Pick-up/Drop from/to the airport.
- The visa fee you would have to pay for travel, medical insurance and airport tax.
- The meals of your personal interest will not be offered in our expense.
- We would also not provide personal sleeping bags and bags.
- The charge applied in case of emergency evacuation by any means of transport would not be included.
- The charge for accommodation in Kathamndu in you early arrival before the trip will not be included and also the late departure. Moreover, the early departure from trek will also not included in our expense.
- We also don’t include the cost of international flights.
- The trip doesn’t offer the travel and rescue insurance.
- We also don’t include the phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra poter etc.
