Dhaulagiri circuit trekking is very adventurous and exploring the wild which allows us the opportunity to see the Kali Gandaki gorge which the deepest gorge of the world. It is unaccountably true that we will be satisfied with the views of the White Mountains and the sunrise on them during our Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.

Dhawalagiri is the world’s seventh highest mountain, which is 8167m high. The word Dhawalagiri is derived from Sanskrit language, Dhawal means white and Giri means mountain. So, Dhawalagiri means White Mountain. It was discovered in 1808 A. D. at the first time, and when the period of discovering, it was believed to be the highest mountain in the world for 30 years because that was the highest mountain among which discovered. After that Kanchenjunga became the highest mountain of the world. Now, Mt. Everest is the highest mountain of the world.

We will begin our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking from Beni on the Kali Gandaki River. We will reach to Beni by Bus. Our trekking route ascends the lovely and unspoiled valley of the Myagdi Khola from Beni. Myagdi Khola flows southwards from the heart of the Dhaulagiri Himal. Dhaulagiri circuit trekking is totally a Natural trekking.

Dhaulagiri is situated north-west of Pokhara. It has the highest point at the eastern part. It is very spectacular trekking to experience the great adventure in our life. Dhaulagiri circuit trekking helps us to win all our fear too. It can be the life changing decision to fix for Dhaulagiri circuit trekking because it will change our attitude to see the overall sector of our life. Itinerary

Day 01 – Arriving day in Kathmandu (1338m)

This is your first day in Nepal for 22 days Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking. When you will get down in Tribhuvan International Airport, you will come to the office in Goldhunga. You will be welcomed in the office. Office will manage your accommodation. You will be informed about the whole package of our 22 days Dhaulagiri circuit trekking in the office.

Day 02 – Kathmandu Valley Tour

On this second day of our 20 days Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking, we will have a guided tour of Kathmandu valley. We will visit UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites with our fluent English speaking tour guide. Among 10 world heritage sights of Nepal, 8 are situated in three districts of Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa are the most famous of all sites we will visit. The monuments of the Durbar Squares are also culturally and aesthetically important where we will be during our tour. After visiting the sites, you will be dropped to the hotel. Your overnight will be very amazing with a lot of curiosity and calm in the hotel

Day 3 – Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (850m)

On our third day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will drive from Kathmandu to Beni. From the bus we can enjoy riverbanks, forests, and villages in the hilly region of Nepal. We will spend the night in Beni. 

Day 4 – Trek from Beni to Babiya Chaur (1000m)

On our fourth day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will start to walk. We will head to Babiya Chaur from Beni. First of all, our trekking will be along the Kali Gandaki River. We will go then to the direction of Myagdi Khola.  We will pass over suspension bridge and walk through Mangalghat, Singa, Tatopani, Simalchaur villages. At last, we will reach to our destination of the day, which is Babiya Chaur village. Our overnight will be in Babiya Chaur. 

Day 5 – Trek from Babiya Chaur to Dharapani (1565m)

When we continue our trekking on our fifth day, we will start from babiya Chaur to Dharapani.

We will ascend slowly on our trekking. Dharapani is at the height of 1565m. We will be staying in the camp there our overnight. 

Day 6 – Trek from Dharapani to Muri (1850m)

On our sixth day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will leave Dharapani and start to Muri. We will ascend again on the day. The way is steep which takes us to Muri. Muri is the place from where we can see Mt. Dhaulagiri very clearly. 

Day 7 – Trek from Muri to Boghara (2050m)

It’s our seventh day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking. We will head to Boghara from Muri. The first part of our trekking is very easy. There is little bit descent also but the last two hours will be very sloppy towards the upside. Our overnight will be in Boghara. 

Day 8 – Trek from Boghara to Dobhan (2630m)

On the eighth day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will start from Boghara to Dobhan. This trekking is little bit challenging. On the way, we have to walk through the path of the stones. On some part of the way, we have to take the help of the rope. Our overnight will be in Dobhan. 

Day 9 – Trek from Dobhan to Italian Base camp (3500m)

This ninth day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will start to Italian Base camp from Dobhan. We can observe the panorama of the mountain all around the path. We will pass the alpine forests and the Base Camp. In the jungle there are a lot of rare vegetations and animals. Our overnight will be in Italian Base Camp.  

Day 10 – Rest day Italian Base Camp

This tenth day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking will be the rest day in Italian Base Camp. It will be the day of sightseeing and going up to visit. We will enjoy the views of many mountains and the area of the place. Our overnight will be in Italian Base Camp again today. 

Day 11 – Trek from Italian Base camp to Glacier Camp (4250m)

This day’s walk is little bit tough because, we have to trek through the glacier moraine and snow. On this 11th day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we leave Italian Base Camp and head to Glacier Camp which is at the height of 4250m. We will use the rope in some places and we will not use the rope in some places. The sceneries of the place are very beautiful but the path is very risky. We will see the Chonbarden gorge, on our way. Our overnight will be in Glacier Camp. 

Day 12 – Acclimatization day at Glacier camp

We will stay in the Glacier camp, this day too but we will climb up on this 12th day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking. We will go towards the Base Camp but will return without reaching the Base camp because that takes 1 day walk. We will walk to the up in the path of the snow. There is the icefall from the north east of the mountain. Our overnight will be in the Glacier Camp. 

Day 13 – Trek from Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4740m)

This is our thirteenth day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking. On this day, we will start to Dhaulagiri Base Camp from Glacier Camp. Dhaulagiri is the tallest White Mountain in the sense of the ice accumulation. This mountain has a lot of white snow. When we reach to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp, our enjoyment can’t be determined. We will be overjoyed. We will see the views of the mountains Dhauagiri II and IV as well as Tukuche from very close. We also can see the path of the summit of the mountain.  

Day 14 – Rest day in French Col (5360m)

This fourteenth day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking will be the rest day. It is necessary to give rest for our body after doing adventurous trek because our body needs the rest to assimilate in the environment. Our body needs to adjust with the thin air of high altitude. Our overnight will be in French Col. 

Day 15 – From French Col (5360m) to Hidden Valley (5050m)

This fifteenth day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking will be the day of move to Hidden Valley from French Col, which is at the height of 5360m. This trekking needs the use of climbing gears like ice axe and crampons. This is the most risky walk of our trekking. This is the most adventurous part of the trek as well. When we see the place, we will forget our struggle to come here. Our overnight will be in Hidden valley. 

Day 16 – Hidden Valley Acclimatization Day

We will rest in Hidden Valley, on our 16th day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking. We will enjoy the beauty of the mountains Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri Himal. This rest day will make us prepared for the trekking of Dhampus Pass (5240m) for the next day. Our overnight will be in Hidden Valley.  

Day 17 – Trek from Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka (3680m)

On our 17th day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking will be the day of heading to Yak Kharka from Hidden Valley via Dhampus Pass. We have to climb up to reach to the Dhampus pass. From Dhampus Pass, we can enjoy more clear and close views of the mountains. We can enjoy the views of Dhampus peak on the left and Tukuche on the right. After there, we will walk down with the sloppy way. Finally we will reach to Yak Kharka, where we will spend our overnight. 

Day 18 – Trek from Yak Kharka to Marpha (2670m)

On our 18th day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will start to Marpha from Yak Kharka. Marpha is a village, which is situated in the Kali Gandaki Valley. It is very famous for its apples and the Buddhist Monasteries. In the evening, we will drink apple jouce and we will spend all our overnight. 

Day 19 – Marpha to Beni (by shared jeep); Beni to Pokhara (by bus)

On our 19th day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will start to Beni from Marpha. We will ride on the jeep from Marpha to Beni. We will drive from Beni to Pokhara. We will be in the hotel in the evening. In the evening, we will enjoy the Lakeside area. You can buy something in Pokhara there because that is the very famous area of shoping. Our night in the hotel will be awesome.  

Day 20 – Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

On our 20th day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will leave Pokhara and start to drive to Kathmandu, from tourist Bus Park, in the morning. When we will be in Kathmandu, we will be tranfered to the hotel to rest and stay overnight. 

Day 21 – Sightseeing day in Kathmandu

On our twenty first day of our Dhaulagiri circuit trekking, we will go for sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, after our breakfast in the morning.  Our destination will be the heritages of UNESCO list. We will have farewell dinner somewhere in the Nepali cultural hotel. Our overnight will be at the hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 22 – Departure Day

Your 22nd day of Dhaulagiri circuit trekking will be departure day to your home country from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. We wish your very safe journey.
