Tsum Valley Yoga Trekking offers you to have a great experience of doing different yogic activities such as yoga, Pranayam and meditation. This yoga trekking has great value because we will walk to the area where the Buddhist yogi Milarepa meditated for many years. This yoga trekking is directly related to yogic history.

Tsum valley is located in northern Gorkha District, Nepal. This valley has the area of 1663 square kilometres. It lies against the wonderful backdrop of Ganesh, Sringi and Buddha Himal. It is a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage as well as famous for Buddhist culture and tradition. Very popular Buddhist Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa meditated in the mountains here. We can also find many Buddhist temples in this valley. From this place, we can see the panoramas of the mountains and beyond.

Terminologically, ‘Tsum’ comes from the Tibetan word Tsombo, which means vivid traditionally, and it becomes Tsum in the course of time. It is famous for its cultural variation. This is the place which is very rich in ancient art, religion and culture.

The most beautiful part of this valley yoga trekking is that we can choose for natural, religious, cultural as well as spiritual purpose to trek here.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m)

This is your first day in Nepal for this trekking. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will come to our office in Goldhunga. We will welcome you in our office and check-in at a hotel for you. Your overnight will be at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation day

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

The second day of our Tsum Valley Trekking will be the day of sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. We will visit Kathmandu valley with an excellent guide who can give us all the information about the place, where we visit. We will visit the places which are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. They are Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath (Buddhist shrine), which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the afternoon or in the evening we will introduce each other and take information about the Yoga Trek, which will have been starting next day from Kathmandu. Our overnight will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (600m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On the third day of Tsum Valley Yoga Trekking, we will take the bus from Kathmandu to Sotikhola in the morning after our yoga and breakfast. We will spend the journey by enjoying the beauty of the outside of our bus. We can see the jungles, villages and many landscapes from the bus. Our overnight will be in Sotikhola.
We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 04: Trek from Sotikhola to Machhakhola Gaun (1300 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

The fourth day of our Tsum Valley Yoga Trekking will be the day of heading to Machhakhola Gaun from Sotikhola. This day is our first day of real trekking. The trail goes through the Budhi Gandaki River. There is ascend to the way and we can see the view of Manaslu Mountain clearly. When we pass Tatopani, we will reach Machhakhola Gaon which is our last destination of the day. Our overnight will be in Machhakhola Gaun.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 05: Trek from Machhakhola Gaun to Jagat (1410 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this fifth day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will start to walk towards Jagat from Machhakhola Gaun. On this day, we will trek to the way where there is Mani wall and side of the river. Jagat is a village which lies to the west side of Budhi Gandaki River. Our overnight will be in Jagat.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Lhokpa (2040 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

This is the sixth day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking and we will head towards Lhokpa from Jagat. We will cross Budhi Gandaki River by the suspension bridge. We will go upwards to the mountainous area from there. Our overnight will be in Lhokpa.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 07: Trek from Lhokpa to Chumling (2386 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

Our seventh day of Tsum valley yoga trekking will be the day of starting to Chumling from Lhokpa. From Lhokpa, the area of the Tsum Valley starts. On this day, we will climb towards the valley. Our overnight will be in Chumling.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 08: Trek from Chumling to Chhokang Paro (3031 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before our breakfast.

On this eighth day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will start to walk from Chumling to Chhokang Paro. We will climb again to the upside and we will walk along the Syar River. We will cross the Gho and Domje village. We can see the beautiful landscapes on the trail. Our overnight will be in Chhokang Paro.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 09: Trek from Chhokang Paro to the Nile (3361 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this ninth day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will head towards Nile from Chhokang Paro. We will walk through the villages of different points. We can see the fields and the landscapes from our way. We can enjoy the beauty of the mountains on our trail. We can enjoy the beautiful sights of the village. Our overnight will be in Nile.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 10: Trek from Nile to Mu Gompa (3700 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this tenth day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will start to Mu Gompa from Nile. There is a very big monastery. We will visit the Mu Gompa and observe the area and we will spend our overnight in the Gompa.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 11: Trek from Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa (3240 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this 11th day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will go to Rachen Gompa from Mu Gompa. This monastery is also a big monastery. This is our great opportunity to see two monasteries. By this, we can understand how Buddhist monks spend their life. Our overnight will be in Rachen Gompa.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 12: Trek from Rachen Gompa to Gumba Lungdang (3200 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

This is the 12th day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking and it will be the day of starting to Gumba Lungdang. And, we will visit again another monastery. We can observe the Gumba and see the beauty of the mountains. Our overnight will be in Gumba Langtang.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 13: Trek from Gumba Lungdang to Lhokpa (2240 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

This is our 13th day of Tsum valley yoga trekking and we will start to Lhokpa from Lungdang. We will go through the gorge. We will walk through the Syar River. Our overnight will be in Lhokpa.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 14: Trek from Lhokpa to Jagat (1340 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this 14th day of Tsum valley yoga trekking, we will start to Jagat from Lhokpa. We will begin to leave the valley and go through the Budhi Gandaki River. We will enjoy the river and landscapes. Our overnight will be in Jagat.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 15: Trek from Jagat to Lhabu Bensi (900 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

This is our 15th day of Tsum valley yoga trekking and we will head towards Lhabu Bensi from Jagat. We will trek downwards to the river. We have to cross the river many times. When we will continue our trekking, we will reach to Lhabu Bensi. Our overnight will be in Lhabu Bensi.
We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 16: Trek from Lhabu Bensi to Soti Khola and drive to Arughat Bazar (535 m)

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

It is the 16th day of our Tsum valley yoga trekking and we will start to Arughat Bazaar from Lhabu Bensi. This is not a very long trek. When we will reach to Soti Khola from where we will take the jeep to Arughat Bazaar. This day is our last day of real trekking. Our overnight will be in Arughat Bazaar.
We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 17: Drive from Arughat to Kathmandu

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this 17th day of our Tsum Valley Yoga Trekking, we will drive from Arughat to Kathmandu. The journey will be very amazing if we observe the beauty of the outside from the window of the bus. We will spend our overnight in Kathmandu at night.

We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 18: Free Day in Kathmandu

We will do Yoga in the morning before breakfast.

On this day, you will have free time, so you can do anything in your choice, shopping, resting etc. You can shop the things from Nepal to your friends and relatives. On this evening, the organizer will give you a farewell party. You will spend your overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
We will practice Pranayam and Meditation in the evening.

Day 19: Day Of Departure

This day will be your day of departure. You will take your plane from Tribhuvan International Airport. You will bring a lot of memories from the mountainous country Nepal. We will say goodbye and wish you a very happy journey.

  • QThe charge applied in case of emergency evacuation by any means of transport would not be included.
  • QThe charge for accommodation in Kathamndu in you early arrival before the trip will not be included and also the late departure. Moreover, the early departure from trek will also not included in our expense.
  • QWe also don’t include the cost of international flights.
  • QThe trip doesn’t offer the travel and rescue insurance.
  • QWe also don’t include the phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra poter etc.
  • QWe also don’t offer tips for guides and porters, you can give them yourself if you like to give.
