In our 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek , we will trek with a very good yoga instructor. We will do yoga every day during our trekking, in the morning and we will practice pranayama and meditation every evening. Yoga is the medium to know the self. It is the journey of inside and trekking is the journey of outside. If we combine both, it will be the sublime creation. Trekking and yoga are related to each other. Trekking also helps us to relax our body and yoga also can help us to get relaxed but yoga is not only for relax. Yoga has its higher purpose to find the self. On our 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek, we will view the most beautiful White Mountains; have the opportunity to see the Sherpa people, who are famous in climbing the Mt. Everest and other tall mountains. We also can observe many Buddhist Monasteries and the lifestyle of the people there. We can feel the positive energy of the snow covered area, where many yogis want to stay for meditation. We can enjoy even the beauty of the soul by the Yoga. For the long time meditation, Yogis go to the mountainous area because the area is very energetic. 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek starts from Kathmandu to Lukla by plane. Then the adventurous ascending takes place in an authentic and ethnic Sherpa community in the Khumbu region. We can enjoy the view of Mt. Lhotse (8501 m), Mt. Makalu (8463 m) and Mt. Cho Oyu (8153 m). Kalapathhar, measuring an altitude of 5545 meters, is the last destination of the 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek which gives you the closest view to the Mountain Everest.
Day 1st of Everest base camp yoga trekArrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m)When you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will come to our office in Goldhungga. After checking in, we take a rest in the hotel in Kathmandu. You may also go to the city to visit as your wish. We will take our dinner with nice foods and spend our overnight in the hotel Kathmandu.
Day 2nd of Everest base camp yoga trekKathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation dayOn this day, in the morning, after our breakfast, we will start a guided tour to many historical and spiritual places in Kathmandu. Our tour includes the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath (Buddhist shrine), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. All the places are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which we will visit on the day. There will be a brief discussion about our whole 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek in a group in the afternoon. Our overnight will be spent at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3rd of Everest base camp yoga trekFlight to Lukla (2,830 m) and Trek to Phakding (2,640m)On this day, after our breakfast in the morning, we will drive towards Tribhuvan International Airport for the flight to Lukla. This flight takes around only half an hour. We can observe beautiful scenes of the mountains and many green forests. From Lukla, you will get a porter to carry your luggage. We will trek from Lukla to Phakding. We have to walk four to five hours to reach our last destination of this day. On the way, we can enjoy the rhododendron forest and the beauty of the nature. Our overnight will be at a teahouse in Phakding.
Day 4th of Everest base camp yoga trekTrek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.On our fourth day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek, we will start to Namche Bazaar from Phakding. This day’s trekking is very interesting and we will follow the forest at the first phase. After, we follow the path by Dudh Koshi River and go ahead, we will reach to Monjo on our way. This place is the main gate of the Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park. When we walk some hours from Monjo, we will reach in Namche Bazaar, which is our day’s last destination.Namche Bazaar is a very busy place of the region. Mostly in this place, there are Sherpa ethnic communities. We can buy our necessities here and know the culture of Sherpa people, who are known as the climber of the Mt. Everest, all around the world. Our overnight will be in Namche Bazaar.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
Day 5th of Everest base camp yoga trekLeisure day in Namche BazaarYoga in the morning and breakfast.This day is our 5th day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek. This day is the day of rest day in Namche Bazaar. When we trek in the high altitude, we should rest in some places which prevent us from frost bite. We can visit to the short distance today. We can go to visit to the Sagarmatha National park, where a lot of species of birds, animals and the vegetations can be found. In this area we can find lophophorus bird, which is the national bird of Nepal. Our overnight will be in Namche Bazaar.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
Day 6th of Everest base camp yoga trekNamche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3840m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This is our sixth day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek and we will leave Namche Bazzar and start to Thanga. We have to climb on the steeply way via rhododendron forest, juniper and large conifers. We will pass yak Kharkas and the Khumjung hill on our way. Our overnight will be in Phortse Thanga.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
Day 7th of Everest base camp yoga trekPhortse Thanga (3840m) to Machhermo (4470m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.On our seventh day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek will be the day of leaving Phortse Thanga and starting to Machhermo. We will climb to uphill on the way to Machhermo. We ascent with the view down to the valley Kengtega and up to Cho Oyu. We will walk on the path of the jungle of the rhododendron. Overnight will be in Machhermo.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
Day 8th of Everest base camp yoga trekMachhermo to Gokyo (4700 m) Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This is our eighth day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek. We will leave Machhermo and start to Gokyo. We will walk along the path through the riverbank at the first part of our trek. It is very beautiful path in the sense that it gives us a lot of enjoyment by its beauty. After that, we will go to the path of Ngazumpa Glacier in the steep way. Gokyo is the settlement area where we find the pure people, who are very lovely from their heart. On the way, we can see many holy lakes. The beauty of the scenery cannot be described in words. Our overnight will be in Gokyo.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
Day 9th of Everest base camp yoga trekGokyo Valley Acclimation Day trek to Gokyo Ri (5,357 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.On this 15th day our 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek, we will stay at Gokyo and go to watch the scenery of the mountains to Gokyo Ri. It is a very popular viewpoint for the amazing view of the mountains. From this point, we can see Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu mountains. On this point we can catch many photographs that will be our unforgettable memory for all our life. On this day, we can observe the lifestyle of the people of the village Gokyo. Our overnight will be in Gokyo again today.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
10th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekGokyo to Thagnak (4700 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This day is the 10th day of our18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek. On this day, we will walk short distance. We will explore close hills on Thagnak. We will rest on our way and take photographs. Our overnight will be in Thagnak.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
11th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekTrek from Thangnak (4700 m) to Cho La Pass (5,420 m) to Dzongla (43,80m) Yoga in the morning and breakfast.On this day, we will start for Cho La Pass from Thangnak. The way is narrow which is made by the glacier. We will test the weather to go further. This pass is very beautiful and we can see many mountains from here like Baruntse, Ama Dablam, and many other peaks.Our overnight will be in Dzongla.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
12th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekDongla to Lobuche (4,930 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This is our 12th day of our 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek and we will head to Lobuche on this day from Dzongla. It is easy walk comparatively to the other day. We will walk resting on the road time to time. We have a lot of time to see the beauty of the nature on the way. Even we can enjoy the photographs of the mountains on our camera. Our overnight will be in Lobuche.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
13th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekTrek from Lobuche (4,930 m) to Everest Base Camp to Gorakshep (5,170 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.On this day, we will be at Everest Base Camp at the height of 5,357 m. We can see Khumbu glacier which is the biggest glacier of Nepal. We can enjoy our walk with the view of glacial pond and icebergs down below of Khumbu glacier. When we reach to Gorakshep we will continue our trekking towards Everest base Camp 5,357m. It is an adventurous journey in our life. We go up for only trekking not to stay. The ice falls there. This is the point of high altitude and thin air. After enjoying at Everest base Camp we will be back to Gorakshep for overnight stay.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
14th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekGorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) to Pheriche (4,240 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This is our 14th day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek and on this day we will go the Kala Patthar, which is our final destination of the trekking. It is very close to the Mt. Everest and from here; we can see the beautiful views of all mountains from all sides. Kala is black and Patthar is the stone, so this is the place of black stone. We will do yoga on the top of the hill. From here, we will go to the village Periche, for that we will descent to the way. Our overnight will be in Periche.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
15th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekPeriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast.This is our 15th day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek and on this day, we will start to Namche Bazar from Periche. We will go to the downward following the jungle of rhododendron and juniper trees. We will walk following the Dudh Koshi River.On the way, we will walk via Thyangboche which is the famous place for Buddhism. We will visit Thyangboche Monastery there. From the monastery, we can see the views of Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega, and Thamserku.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
16th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekTrek from Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) to Lukla (2,830 m)Yoga in the morning and breakfast. This is our 16th day of our 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek. After finishing our trekking, we will arrive to Lukla. This trekking is very easy trekking. At night we will take the dinner in Lukla with our fellow Sherpa, guides and porters. We will sleep calmly on the hotel on this day.Pranayama and Meditation in the evening.
17th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekFlight from Lukla to KathmanduThis day is the day of flight to Kathmandu from Lukla, after our breakfast in Lukla. In this flight, we can enjoy the beauty of the wonderful mountains from the sky.When we come in Kathmandu, we can buy the gifts to our relatives and loved ones. Thamel is the especial places for many things, where you can get all the things you seek. This day is the day of taking farewell dinner. Our overnight will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.
18th Day of Everest base camp yoga trekDeparture dayYour 18th day of 18 days Everest Base Camp yoga trek will be departure day to your home country from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. We wish your very safe journey.
